Meadow Of The Fawn Poem by Allison Buckner

Meadow Of The Fawn

Rating: 3.5

My body shakes with every blow
The impact throwing me to and fro
My head pounds against the ground
With no help to be found
People simple pass me by
Nobody ever asks me why
My body shakes with every thump
Why my head hurts with every bump
And when these questions come to around
I'll be nowhere to be found
because by then I'll be gone
In the meadow of the fawn

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is a poem I wrote about how people never seem to notice the people who aren't rich or 'in there league.' I wanted to remind them to appreciate the people in their loved before they're gone.

. Nice rhythm to the poem. Liked the title. My favorite line is: My body shakes with every thump.
