Measure Of A Human Poem by John Prophet

Measure Of A Human

The human brain

weights

three pounds.

The human heart

weighs

eleven ounces.

Human skin

is seven hundredths

of an inch thick.
To know a humans

mind and heart

takes time.
It takes time

to parse

out the subtleties

of their

soul, to

know the content

of their character.

It takes an

investment

of intellect.

Those who judge

a person

simply by the color

of their skin

exhibit

no intellect,

no intellect

whatsoever.

I like this poem. We are are all related otherwise we would not be human. Coming out of Africa our relatives moved to different climes. This resulted in skin changing colour. Call out ignorance wherever it appears++10,
