Memories Poem by Bettie Beaire Young

Memories

What happened to the memories of yesterday?
Did you store them neatly away,
Or maybe you scattered them around in your mind.
Only to be lost by the ages of time.
Bring it all in the open, and maybe you'll see.
A memory or two that used to be,
Maybe a love letter to someone then,
Or possible thoughts of a childhood friend.
Keep the memories close to you
And no matter what else you ever do,
Don't ever let them fade away,
Just save them for another day.
