Memories - Poem by Razya Sultana

My memories make me cry,
Sets fire into my heart.
Can't escape my tears,
But just sit and cry.
Remembering my desparity
I had to go and never look back.
Though I wiped your tears away
My insides tore to bits.
I did know I would love the sorrows
But my heart ran away.
Could not hide or escape
Such a sad pleasure.

Can't believe I'm alive-
Far off with so much pain.
Questions yet unanswered
But why am I still existing
Without anything to live for?
I know there is no looking back
But why do I get tears in my eyes?

Looking through the blues
I don't see anything but you.
Don't make me wet my eyes.
Let me make this ocean dry.
I am running real empty
Only memories stay aside
To call the downpour of the heart.
