Memories aren't always great,
You can't always remember something,
But when you do,
What comes back is everything

My first memory of you,
Is short and brief,
And all I can do,
Is remember seeing you smile

My memory sometimes fails,
It's not fun,
Trying to remember something great,
It doesn't even help to run

Everyone has memories,
Whether good or bad,
Happy or sad,
There's always a part,
That makes sure we remember it

They could be anything,
Your first kiss,
A wish that came true,
Remembering how it feels to hold the one you love,
Even if they're right next to you
