Memories Poem by Ma Eugenia Carrasco

Memories

I feel your presence and in this very same time
I know I do not own my own mind,
Neither my body nor myself.

For when you’d know it, if it is that you could ever,
It will be too late, then I’ll not be, but I’d still love you.

The sun shines and the cherry trees, the cherry trees are so far away;
My soul is in pain, my heart too.

The strength of this empire will continue to be for him and them all;
And I fear and feel sad.

When you’d understand it;
There will be no more strength nor empire, nor fear
Nor sorrow.

I’ll look after it in among the clouds and in the infinite
And my dream to see you again will be.
