Memories Poem by Amiegbereta Edwin

Memories

Rating: 5.0

What saves when love fades,
When the charms and flattering no longer amuse?
Aforetime it was glorious and glaring.
Shared laughter ease the pain
Together we stayed the cold
We fought our fears
We stood our ground
Holding the fort, the fort of our love.
What saves when love fades,
Now that we are old and the pleasures are lost?
let now the memories speak
The memories of love and laughter
The memories of the fights, the pain and victory
Let now the memories speak,
For it is better than a thousand words
