Memories Of 911 Poem by RuthNaomi Warren

Memories Of 911

Rating: 5.0

The terror that we feared
As the airplanes disappeared,
Brought Americans together,
With memories we’ll have forever.

As some began their normal day,
In our own individual way,
As we listened to the news,
Others started looking for clues.

This tragedy of our land
Helped us to make a stand;
We are all Americans here,
And all showed absolute fear.

This brought us to our knees,
As to God we gave our pleas;
Asking for His guidance,
Giving us strength, and substance.

To help us find our loved ones,
To share with others our sons;
As we ventured to clean up and find
Some of us, being left behind.

God Bless America and His people
As we look more to a steeple;
Showing others within whom we trust
As the turn to God is a must.

God Bless America is now our cry
AS on Him we now rely;
Let our leaders look to Him
Then we’ll win this battle of sin.
