Memories Peel Poem by Ashley Taylor

Memories Peel

I feel my memories of you peel,
like fading glue it's what they steal.
Your body headless, heartless,
one arm undone,
I wear your pants,
I wear your pants now!
They told me once and told me then,
that you weren't coming back again.
I cried for you a river of tears,
I saw you, then I saw you disappear,
Where are you? Why aren't you hear?
Well baby it's bloody clear...
Instad of fade you chose to fall,
& leave me with nothing at all,
just your leftovers & unwants
all the pain to fill the voids.

When I look up at the sky,
I ask him why you had to die?
Why he took my love away,
to leave me alone another day.
In the bathtub we both cry,
tears of want, pity and why?
Sometimes you just get me so mad,
You were meant to stay and be dad.
But you left your baby little girl,
without a daddy in the world.
You promised me, told me lies,
now all we do is pray and cry.
You held my heart and tore it mean,
it's okay now, you've been set free.

I feel my memories of you peel,
like fading glue it's what they steal.
I wear your pants,
I wear your pants now.
