Memory Mixtures Poem by simon thorpe

Memory Mixtures

Memories of a bygone day,
Frys chocolate dream, topic, a Milky Way,
Bon bons, sherbert dib dabs, a quarter of cough candy,
Things that make you smile, a top deck shandy.
Tiger, Beano, look in, comics to make you smile,
Stay pressed trousers and doc martens, the eighties style,
Grange Hill, crackerjack, swap shop and He man,
Such fond childhood memories, still a fan!
Life moves on through our children today,
But I still think about the bygone age, with teary eyes come what may
