Men Killed In The Battlefield Poem by Derek Spoonmore

Men Killed In The Battlefield

Men are not killed anymore
An enemy is neutralized
But we don't kill anymore
Oh we used too
Before you were born
Hell before your daddy was born
War was a filthy slaughterhouse
And men were screaming, bleeding things
Yeah the good old days
But no one is killed anymore
Eliminated yeah
Degraded you bet
Suppressed, Impacted, and taken out
But blips on a radar screen cannot be killed
