Mentalities Poem by Debbie Fadoju

Mentalities

if i could pinpoint the location
and annoint senseless sensations
to a degree untouchably holy
than with all my might, i'd fight
to make the unity between you and me blissfully true
if that was all that i could do
and it was all that i meant, then i'd be content

if me and you could honestly love without sin
than within my withins i'd be able to live again
i truly desire, i long to obtain
a love without lust and i must feel some pain

i want the rollercoasters the twist and the turns
i want to posess, a love, for me to yearn
i need more than the pleasure more than the joy
more than the lusting, more than a toy

i need someone to feel, to understand what i don't
to hear what i say, what i should could or won't
i need more than you could simply ever give
i need a man, and plan, i need a life, not just soemthing to live

here my plead what i don't need
is to breed or to bleed or to
allow you to proceed
in planting your seed
see you did excede the agreed,
indeed i will no longer mislead
now recede, but take heed, pack your speed and your weed
no longer shall you succeed, in bringing me to my knees
now proceed follow lead, and feed on your greed
for sexual immoralities,
see, there's been a change in mentality
now living in reality, my morality has reached its vitality
and my personality has extended its reach
surpassed its breech no longer are there if's i no longer are there wants or needs
there's just me in complete originality
