Mentally Diesel Poem by daniel gibbs

Mentally Diesel

Pick words up put words down
flyin through the air an they're all around
the mind a beautiful thing though it has so much pain
since its the only thing that's forced to retain
everything thrown at it though candy or cabbage
holding all types of baggage
through sun or shower
it holds all power
to loosen or grip chains
to give or take fame
lift or pour shame
through your muscles and veins

People die everyday by the hammer or the flame
so we need to rise like a phoenix through the fire
start thinking like your life's on the wire
to become mentally tough
but even kings get touched
so don't get snuffed
by these worldly questions
make sure, like the streets, you only venture though certain sections
but there's one way to reach all people
to become equal
we need to become mentally diesel
