Mere Delusion! Poem by Priyaranjan Ojha

Mere Delusion!

Rating: 4.0

I remember those childhood days
When to walk with the moon was marvellous,
It assumed to be my constant companion.
I used to be so thrilled then!
Later I perceive the truth,
It was nothing but a mere delusion!
Now I am quite grown up,
And no longer I expect the moon
To stroll with me purposelessly.
Yes I yell now to claim my adultness.
But all go in vain!
I am caught by fallacy every now and then,
Every morning I embrace certain illusions
And they betray me every night....
My sleepless night shatters all my peace.
I am an unfortunate traveller,
Losing myself in the endless path, full of mirages.
I am a doom-laden ship
Sinking in the unfathomable ocean of life.
I am a deluded poor insect,
Caught in the cobweb of delusions!
