Mere Lost Love Poem by Joseph Viverito

Mere Lost Love

Oh how I miss the life that was bliss,
when I flew like dove which was once in love,
but that was the past, my first and my last,
whilst time came so fast heaven came to a crash!

I knew it wasn't smart I quickly gave her my heart,
but I believed from the start that we'd never fall apart,
thus tis a shame what to her was a game,
that I sit her in pain going merely insane.

But I do not regret, the first day we met,
to the last day we kissed that I'll never be missed.
Tis what it is which I indomitably accept,
because it'd be inconsequential to defy the concept.

Thus you live and you learn,
you give and you burn,
now and forever I'll never be a concern.

These thoughts that I dread,
because the memories wont leave my head.
God it's time for bed...
Because I'm nothing but dead....

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I've been heart broken since Thanksgiving 2011 when we broke up. Tis about my X-girlfriend who lived in Austria, and I live in America. She flew out twice to see me, I lost my you know what to her, and I can't ever get her out of my mind. She still shows up in my dreams. This poem came straight from my heart.
