Mere Passing Poem by RIC BASTASA

Mere Passing

the wind came
with an outpouring of a heavy rain
the trees trembled
the wind was strong
and the rain seemed not to stop
as i hid myself behind
the door

and then there was this silence
making a statement

one must suffer gently
sip bitterness
like it is a concoction
of exotic tea
