Mermaid Heart Poem by Parme Hice

Mermaid Heart

Mermaid Heart
Mermaid Heart

Mermaid on the moon:
come see me soon.
I am fading in the night,
losing my light,
I am torn in two pieces;
one of them is ewe.
Heart, a mermaids heart,
is the only
word-that i have been
able,
softly spoken,
to find-to utilize,
in the water,
where my mermaid swims.
Which one word (heart)
my heart
spoken in love
comes even close
close to the love
written in the
Heart of ewe,
Woman in the foamy waves
swimming near to me,
my love it comes.
It is a heart,
a mermaids heart.
