Methods Of A Broken Heart Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Methods Of A Broken Heart

Methods of a broken heart
Knowns not why things are
That for which had all good intentions
Beats with confusion, delusion
And every void in between

Why are things the way they are?
Clueless in the question of a redundant nightmare
Tries so hard to be loved
Sacrificed itself so many times
Only to see emptiness at each ending

The battle goes on for a broken heart
Tries to repair itself with each day
Doing all that there can be done
To beat in the ways of a loving grace

Alone, it is so hard to keep pace
Those unbroken can never understand
The burdens of emptiness
The past silence and all its decay

Who really knows what the agenda of a broken heart is
The methods could be a lesson learned for a better life ahead
Feeling everything worst at each past to present moment
Preparations of a humbling future ahead

All I know is I am stronger
From the methods of a broken heart
More prepared than ever before
Though the confusion is all still there
I now realize the hardships were just lessons after all

Those who have never had a broken heart
Have never lived a life of what true love really is

No matter what, we who feel all have or had broken hearts
But in the end we teach others how to mend,
At least we are supposed to

Even now do you still have a broken heart?
If so, I do too
But my faith feels that will all change soon

Dream on and dream on strong. Now, Then
Our broken hearts shall someday be healed
