Michael Servetus Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Michael Servetus

Spanish theologian, physician,
Cartographer and Renaissance humanist,
The world has not forgotten
Your sacrifice
Which you gave
Contradicting the base of thought
With your logic and reasoning
Which the Catholic authorities
In France
Took to not
As the right thing uttered
And after the condemnation
Fled you to
Calvinist Geneva
Where you were burnt
Or the sake of heresy
Abiding by the order
Of the city's governing council.
