Middle Of The Night Poem by Jenny Barton

Middle Of The Night

It's the middle of the night, my thoughts turn to you, always you
Sad and alone, this empty house no longer a home,
Memories shared are strong, powerful in my mind
Yet no comfort is took,
the void you left when you were took away
Haunts my heart, soul and all I can do is pray
Life has carried on, routine every day I'm living in body but my soul is destroyed
Will its get better? I'm told it does
Time is a healer, I will wait and see
Meanwhile I'm here stuck in misery.
It's the middle of the night, my thoughts are of you.
