Middle Passage Remembrance Day - June 2

Rating: 5.0
Pum, Pum, Pum,
Hear the mournful beat of the drums.
All come, all come, all come,
To honor those who died.

Pum, Pum, Pum,
Hear the joyful beat of the drums.
We sprinkle water, honey, rum and gin,
To laugh with thee and quench thy thirst.

I did not know there was such a day to honor slaves. Thank you for enlightening me, Mary. In my mind, I cast flowers into the sea in love and remembrance of those who lost their freedom, but are now, hopefully, free indeed. Love, Sandra
