Midnight Hour Poem by J.C. Masa

Midnight Hour

I watch you laugh,
I watch you shine—
I'm wishing, somehow,
you were mine.

These quiet nights,
they scream your name,
But speaking out
could change everything.

Loving you from the other side,
Where silent hearts learn how to hide.
Knowing that we can't cross that line,
I hope we can in another life.

Have you ever wondered?
What it's like to wander on my mind
At the midnight hour,
Where every thought of you gets too loud?

I can't tell you, but you're on my mind—
Every little look, and every little sign.
I stay quiet and keep it all inside;
I feel like yours, but you're not mine.
