It divided countries
And brought them together
It has raged hell
And made the light shine
It has brought us together
And torn us apart
It has made us stronger
And others weaker
It has united the common good
And left honesty in shambles
It has taken on courage
And fallen to strength
But it can't break your bones
Yet it can hit your soul
It was used to write the Bible
By our dear lord
So clearly you see that
The pen in mightier than the sword.
