migraine... Poem by sandheep sudhakaran

migraine...

Midday, anchored sun!
An unknown attack on my head,
Crazy, one-sided.
Blast in the thalamus!
Strange crying in the brain!
Tearing pain in my forehead.
My room:
Black shade with the window curtain,
A set of books,
Tiger Balm,
A bowl of hot water,
A Bluetooth speaker,
A piece of cloth tied tightly around my head,
Migranil tablet,
Prepared for war.
Will fight!
Will not surrender!
Words must be hunted
and eaten from the pile of books.
Hanumankind's shuddering rap
from Bluetooth's well of death.
'The Tiger' was prepared
for hunting on the forehead.
Pain - Pain
Struggle - Struggle
Medicines keep trying to trick the brain.
Half-burning pains in the forehead.
Bent down to pick up the fallen book,
But, I fell into an electric trap
hidden above my left ear.
Pains are common!
It's just that
it has moved from
the chest to the head.
