Mind Under Construction Poem by Kestrel Quiambao

Mind Under Construction

Rating: 5.0

This mind is under construction
Malfunctioning due to stressful imagination
It gave me trouble sleeping
It postponed my good ol' night dreaming.

The more I look, the more I see
The less I seem to feel free
Everything around me is painful
I've lost all my hope of being joyful.

Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide
So painful it hurts, and I just cried
I am clueless, hopeless and full of confusion
Oh please, oh please, I need some redemption.

I see the sun as it sets in the west
Wishing to the clouds above for the best
My mind is blurred, completely unclear
My world is black, and I feel extreme fear.

Break me, free me, save me from this catastrophic agony
All this time, all these years, I've been living in a mystery
Set me free, just like a bird out of a cage
This world keeps me from chaos, yet feeds my rage

No man lives and lingers in this enigmatic sphere alone
And no one can sing in its own tone
For this day the mind is always blind
And no one dares, to be too kind.

A well written poem, with a great deal of interesting ideas. You are a young man and the most important thought was the one you expressed in the very first line of this poem. Your mind is still under construction, but you are the architect, therefore there is much reason for hope. You have the power to attain anything you wish. Life is ahead of you!
