Mindless Travel Poem by jerica singleton

Mindless Travel

Rating: 5.0

As he begins to wander
his minds travels
faster than the speed of light
lost in the what ifs and could be
it stops and finds her
Sitting there, waiting
missing her face again
Noticing, now
this is only time she visits
Complacent
Wanting to stay longer
Lost in wonder
as her eyes always catches
him off guard
As his mind cannot keep up with her
She is a distant reality
Yet a beautiful dream
His thoughts run rapid
As he chases a dream he no longer can have
Calling silently on her
hoping she still feels the same
her smile dimly lights the way
in his dark places of his mind
He is losing her
As she begins to fade away
it's becoming hard to think
Wishing his mind would take another road, hoping not to see her there
it's better this way, perhaps
only to find out
There is no life without her

.....this is my journey
