Mirror Poem by Fizah Jasni

Mirror

Rating: 3.5

Look into those eyes,
Plead them to tell
what the lips will not.

Look deeper into them,
let yourself be sucked
into whirlpools of liquid sorrow.

You will not, though,
comprehend what you will see.
You can only look on

as those eyes in the mirror fill with tears.

I liked this one. Its shape could be bettered, in my opinion, and I also think 'sucked' is not the ideal word to be in the poem (how can I explain it? It sounds a little rough and a more subtle word would look better -that's me, though) but the message inside it was nice. Good job.
