Mirrors - Poem by Ryan Lee Morris
I look into my mirror, my life.
My reflection unseen, cannot be changed.
It is what I cannot see, I do not know.
Without the mirror, I am in a state of unchange.
Without it, what was, is and always will be.
As I stand in front of the mirror, I observe my reflection.
I see what I must fix, for it is now seen.
It can only be fixed through the point of reflection.
Though it cannot alter what I was,
It will alter what I become.
As the outer mirror, reflects my physical,
My inner mirror reflects my spiritual.
It is through my spiritual, my emotional can be contained.
This strengthens my mind.
If my body is strong, it cannot be easily overtaken by others.
Yet if my mind is weak, my body can be controlled through it.
It is the mirror which I choose to find my reflection.
This will determine my peace or my discord,
And ultimately my destiny and my legacy,
Which comes at my point of reflection.
