Mirrors Poem by Michael Manqadi

Mirrors

A world of pain shall not demise
But reflect and rejoice its never ending time
Because without pain we do not heal
And there comes a time when the soul itself shall bleed
A world of lust does not exist
But reflects and depicts our ordeal
In hope to open doors we visualize success as key
We end up blind to it to a point where our pain and suffer is all we foresee
I stare not at a parallel universe of myself
If so that would mean a smile represents how I'm not happy with myself
But the me I was
I'm the one that stands before him
As a baby under carmas arms
Mirrors are not a reflection of yourself
But who you where
and who you want to be is the one that stands before it
And who you are is a question left unrecorded
Mirrors
