Miserable, Broken, Abused Poem by Desiree Clemons

Miserable, Broken, Abused

The miserable, broken, and abused;
appear helpless, lost, and confused.

Appearance and perspective don't match this time.
Dig deeper.
See what's really going on inside.

The yearn for love needing attention,
Is the natural result in a world void of affection.

So,
Smile at strangers
Especially the ones who are different.
Embrace uniqueness,
accept its magnificence.
