Misjudged Simplicity Poem by Gautam Sen

Misjudged Simplicity

Earth is on motion
with sessions of day and night -
is anyone there who dares
to challenge this tiny truth?

Mind often gets into turbulence
with tons of emotions,
then why should all decry?
Why do you feel great
to call me an emotional fool?

Vastness of sky gifting it
an enormous simplicity
attracts clouds to pasture.
Birds die hard to fly around
with their wings of desire -
sun delivering its fire.

All these are
nature's sweet gestures
that we love to feel,
offering our thanks to Almighty -
The supreme creator.

If I love to live simple -
making mind wide open as sky,
I find many...
many... and many
in number come here to fly
with doubtful minds and
some look askance
at my eyes.

Nature teaches me
to nurture my soul
to the fullest,
breaches in any form
or failing any norms
leading humanity
to a total incompleteness
hurts her -
hurts Him in turn as well.
