Miss Saccharin Poem by matthew broxton

Miss Saccharin

Miss Saccharin,
your angelic smile,
effervescent sheen,
an impossible dream.

Oh Miss Saccharin
why do you trouble me so?
you stay in my head,
for days on end
God knows why.

I look for you in the crowd,
my head aches,
stomach in knots
I mistake it for a crush
you must be joking.

Oh Miss Saccharin
sickly sweet,
you dress- replete
with a plastic smile,
for all to see.
