Lovin' You (Like A Vampire Loves The Day) Poem by matthew broxton

Lovin' You (Like A Vampire Loves The Day)

Sleeping on the bed,
watching snowflakes
fluttering to the ground.
Darkness comes,
and my mind drifts to you.

Daylight kills,
what darkness evokes,
I love you,
like a vampire loves the day.

Duvet- clothed, tea soothed
fantasies of the drunk,
and the bold.

Weave all these positives,
what negatives have to behold.
Lovin' you
like a vampire loves the day.
