Missing You Joe Poem by Kimberly Santistevan

Missing You Joe

Rating: 4.5

I got to school today
Opened my locker
And put my things away.
Seen something in the corner of my eye
Your picture is what I have seen
Staring at your smile made me cry.

My memories of you are slowly fading away
I don’t want to forget you
I think about you everyday.

I don’t remember the sound of your voice
I don’t remember how you laughed
I don’t want to forget you.

I wish I could go back
To the day I lost you
Tell you that you don’t have to leave.

I need you by my side
I can’t picture you anymore
Your house is so empty without you
I want to always remember you.

I know you had to go
You were hurting inside.
I have to realize that you are in a better place
Than you were down here.

How are you now?
Are you better now?
I really miss you
I wish I could have talked to you
It feels like it’s my fault that I didn’t.

This year will be year five
That I have lived so far
Without you near me.
I know you are in my heart
Never will I forget you.
I hope I don’t anyway.
