Its late, very late in the night,
i could'nt sleep though;
every small sound
is keeping me awake;
i know am missing you
my love!

Its cold, the chill in the air,
i could feel it from inside;
had you been there,
you would have kept me warm;
i know am missing you
my love!

am alone, not a word to say
nor one to listen to;
when you were around,
we shared a thousand and more;
i know am missing you
my love!

the fire lit is burning down,
my heart is aching alone;
a word of comfort is what i need
and a kiss from you indeed;
i know am missing you
my love!

I know you miss me too,
in the same ways as i do;
if missing the other is
the essence of love, then
am really really missing you;
my love!
