Mistakes Poem by William F Glennon

Mistakes

The Morning rain hides the sunshine.
My thoughts of you go through my mind.

Dreams have no endings, the hearts
incomplete. These arms are empty
without self conceit.

Have I done the best I can?
Did love not go according to plan?

Maybe in time it could have been so much
more. Getting over you will take a lifetime.
If only I could hold you once more.

Our love could have grown.
Only you were not sincere or true.
Deep inside I've been living a life.
I thought I knew. Only my heart
and mind didn't and I would have given it to you.
