Mockery Poem by Piyas Panda

Mockery

life is an illusion, and yes full of mockery;
people you surround, the people you see
are nothing but a thorn to our misery,
I often mock them, like a swinging leaf on a tree,
yet the pain l dissolve in, becomes my only source of harmony

life is unique, for each one of us;
I thought the people are unique, or the stories I learnt,
the tales I once heard, like the blessings from the sun,
but now these are deep down in the earth, and therefore they are nothing but some sort of fun

Life is mocking me, and I mock her;
people who copy, can never reach far;
the stories I write, the tears l lure
are the only peace l get, like raindrops, on my wound it cures
life is a song, yet the melodies are rewritten;
comforting yet painful and falls deep into our pacification,
life is an illusion, yet still it's mocking me
maybe because; the pain l surround is giving me too much heed
the people I trust, the people l feel,
are lost in the true ties of humanity.
