Mom Poem by Dixie Burrell

Mom

Bullet aim,
Shots fire,
This isn't fine,
You little liar,
I am high off the floor
And stuck in wires,
Why is it I'm afraid of reality
I feel you took the blame for me,
Now I'm stuck in your game,
But I don't want to be,
Just be free,
I will stay with the bees
And pray they don't sting,
I am leaning on a spike,
I don't want to fight,
Where's the light,
Because it's not very bright,
The world could end tonight,
And we wouldn't have said goodbye,
It's fine,
I'll climb away from today,
Close the gate,
I will find some way.
