Mom... Poem by Autumn Keele

Mom...

Rating: 5.0

Mom,
You cry and say that you don't know me,
but the 'real me' you choose not to see.
all you see is what you want me to be, but again, all you see is what you wanna belive.
You know I love you with all of my heart,
but it's your denial thats ripping us apart.
Mom,
I know the truth is what you fear,
but you want me to tell you what you want to hear.
you say you are sick of all these lies,
and mom, Im tired of making you cry.
I want so badly to show you the 'real me'
but I know that if I do I will have to leave.
Mom,
How can I open up to you?
especially after all that we have been through...
I dont know how to tell yo uor what to do,
but I know that deep down you know its true.
I know all you want is happiness for me..........................
So please, just let me live my life the way I know it's suppost to be.
Mom,
You say that all you want is for me to be closer to you.
I know you don't belive it, but I want that too-
Maby one day you'll accept 'me' for 'me',
and when, or if you ever do, you'll see how close we can finally be.

So you still have to pretend you're straight, huh? You'd think that she'd get it once she caught us... you're mom is strange babe.
