Mom...For You! Poem by Dinesh Shekhar

Mom...For You!

Mom,

You were my world..
Why did you go,
Leaving me alone,
If you had really loved me?

My world crumbled down,
When I lost you forever,
on a misty morning.

Mom, I am choked,
In this ruthless world,
Devoid of you.

The nights go long,
And take my sleep away.
Tears roll down, though
You never liked me cry.

Mom,
Unique you're...

When the wail of clouds,
Fail to scare the earth,
And the shore,
Hold back,
The roaring tides,

I
Realize the power of love.

You made me,
Single out,
The smiling snow,
The singing wind, and
The dancing rain.

The day
I opened my eyes, to
This world,
The waves of love,
From your eyes
Greeted me.

I saw the world, through
Your eyes.

Moonlight was, the
Milky silvered hills.

And the Sun?

Was never bitter, but
A reason to wake up,
And the healing power,
With the golden rays.

The sea?
A big thing,
To confine all our sorrows.

Pain was?
Another step, towards
Bliss!

And Rain?
Blessing from God.

Mom,
You were my world.

The days, I started
Rolling over,
Stood up, and
Those baby steps!

Mom,
You were my world.

The wind gushes wildly, and
Becomes storm.
Is it for your presence?

The flurry woods said,
I am not alone!

When the days rot,
And the nights
Flood darkness,
In one of the frosty dawns,
Let me die, only
To reborn a million times,
As your son, and
To be with you!
