Long opal rain
Licking my rooftop-
Sounds similar to
Brewing fine coffee.
The amber tongue of
The sun
Waits
Beneath heavy clouds,
Yearning to burst
From it’s uterus.
Bitter gray mist;
Amethyst perfume of
The ocean sky
Sinks into my
Nostrils- A scent
Saturated with salt.
I sit, in-ambulatory-
Watching water race
Down the glass,
Gathering at the
Bottom of my
Window.
Moments pass
as rain drops.
