Momma Poem by Harley Smith

Momma

The day I lost, all of the sanity in my mind.
I turned to you, because you're so kind.
Daddy's kicking and screaming again.
Just because he didn't like, one of my friends.
Well mother, you have seen me fairly bruised before.
But your love for me lasts forever more.

Momma you deserve better than him.
Because you're crying, because he didn't like Uncle Tim.
Momma I knew you never loved daddy.
You only needed his money.
So me and my siblings could get by.

Momma you're so beautiful.
Don't listen to what daddy says, because he has no soul.
Because Momma, he's jealous of you.
Because you're more beautiful, than he ever knew.

Momma I love you.
I'm going to save you.
You'll be living the dream someday.
Daddy will be gone. It'll be my way to say.
Thank you Momma for all that loving me like you do.
