Monkey Flings Poo
POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was reading an article on Neanderthal man that said Neanderthals could not throw a spear. The first thing that came to my mind when I read that article was, if a monkey can fling poo, why can't a Neanderthal fling a stick? After all, Neanderthal man is far more advanced than a monkey. Later the next day I was critiquing poetry and keeping the critiques to myself when the article I read on Neanderthal man struck me. Monkey Flings Poo is a brevette poem; brevette poems consists of three words, a subject (noun) , a verb (action) , and object (noun) , in this exact order. Centered for aesthetic symmetry the image is by me Josehf Lloyd Murchison.
