Monologue Of A Diary Poem by Megan Filipczyk

Monologue Of A Diary

The tears of a young girl bleed though my pages.
I am her best friend
I am the only thing she trusts.
I know all of her secrets
her biggest lies,
her deepest fears,
I know it all.
I pity this sad girl.
She's been broken so many times,
Worn down by her crimson rain.
Her wounds heal just to be replace by newer deeper ones.
I try to help her to the best of my abilities,
But she's fighting a battle with herself
And that's a battle no one can win.
These pages are filling up my up fast,
Word after emotional word.
Once she has closed my cover for good
I will sleep
Knowing that I did my best,
But I guess my best wasn't good enough.
I will sleep in a slumber long needed
And I will only be waken for a read.
Then and only then they will realize
How much pain and sorrow she was in,
Then and only then they will realize
Why she decided to end it all.
