Monuments Of Time Poem by Kevin Kavanagh

Monuments Of Time

As today erases yesterday
And tomorrow erases today
Events unfolding seems natural at the time
To nothing extraordinary
Given separation of time and space
In reflection of life that will never
Be lived again.
Moments to be treasured these jewels of the past.
Eroded by time connective events that led
Us to these moments.
Are monuments that stand alone
Like mesas in the desert.
