Moon Poem by Ala' Elouri

Moon

I'm alone right now
The baby birds sing your name
And the stars at night
Are counting stars for your name
And the moon at midnight eve
Is my fellow
Its my friend
I tell her about the love I have for you
And how much years I waited too
The moon knows everything
It sees me weep, it sees me smile, it sees me hopeful or calm without a smile.
You see
I and the moon are one
We don't have that much similarities
But one:
We both stand alone
I'm alone without you dear

Yet don't worry we had a deal my dear
The mornings aren't mornings without you
The nights are not flowing without you
But life goes on
And my prayers go on
I pray for you and you pray for me
What true love could I ask for you and me?
Maybe life is hard without you there.
But I will continue
And wait till the day you are permanently mine.
I will live and continue
I will wait till goodbye becomes goodnight
When you are right there by my side
One house, one room, and one moon
Just for you and I.
I love you.
