Moon Poem by Leonard Ace Almalvez

Moon

So bright, bloomy
Guides the twinkling of stars
But what is this, behind this gray sphere
A sign of grief and fear

As the blackness blankets the sky
An orb starts to rise
Sometimes yellow, sometimes whitish-gray
Sometimes half, sometimes quarter

I really love seeing him, in the sky he blooms
But I noticed something, so hard to believe
The sphere, when half, has its side that glooms
Oh yes, hatred and loneliness

We all know he is bright
He is a symbol of light in the dark
But even he blooms the night
Still he has dark side that he always hides
