Moon Glow Poem by Ronald Brissette

Moon Glow

I have walk along the shore of tears
The waves pounding to the beat of my heart
The thick mist longing to be kissed
For me I have always been missed.

If my dreams could be real I would dream of you
You so fair with jet black hair and eyes so blue
A twinkle so faint only a ferry can see with the tap of a wand
The fire of desire drawing me in to a place I have never been

Her smile that curls up at the corners of her mouth
A smile directed to none other than me
A childish grin highlighted by small dimples
All that I can see is just for me

Lips with the color blue not dead but just right for you
The sparkle of moon light dancing upon them
Calling “Kiss me”-Kiss me”
Lips of wine aged in time and all mine

As my arms hold her slender body so close
This cannot be real she must be a ghost
Yet I can feel, my eyes can see, I hear her short breaths
I darn not close my eyes for fear she will be taken by the mist

I feel the pounding of the wave against our bodies
Rolling rocking a love without end
Her whispers echo so “I will never let you go”
A sirens sound she sings just for me

My eyes can only see moon light-so bright
So cold staring into but what a sight
My eyes glazed over my body rocking with the pounding of the waves
Her whispers so soft “follow the light”

Clouds move across the moon filled sky
For this one it was time to die
With the last flicker of light
I truly was loved tonight.

The rain will wash away the tears
Of so much pain over the years
With out stretched arms she lets him go
Of how he loved me so
