Lost And Found Poem by Ronald Brissette

Lost And Found

A dream is a patch work of events
Can be from the now, future, and past tents.
A stitching together of images that makes no sense

[The dream]

Injected with emotions one frame at a time
Massaging my heart with rhythm and rhyme
With passion and desirer from some other time
Drifting together we’re both in our prime.

A love I have forgot
With in me the feeling was still hot.
Who tells me she loves me.
In this dream our emotions set free.

The warmth of our kisses, melting of our soul
This love we now share will never grow old.

[The past]

You I have wished for from my childhood
Trying to get close to you if I could
Never knew you love me until you moved away
You only told me on our last school day.
I will never see you again, no matter how much I pray.
Life was so cruel back in the old days.

[The now]

You are mind in this dream filled night
Together until first light
To keep this feeling I must fight.

The stares don’t shine, a shadow grows long
My eyes open-she’s gone!
In my heart she will stay
Haunting me day after day
