Moon, White Moon Poem by Josh Alfred

Moon, White Moon

Moon, white moon
I see you above the whirling sky
You set a glow within my eye
Bouncing off nearby river
Glimmering in a million places
All at once.

Moon, white moon
How you make her dazzle
How you make us smile
How you set the night alight
And send chills
Through our spines.

Moon, white moon
So stunning in your gait
How you give men a taste of fate
And lend so much to
The God-forsaken nights.

Moon, white moon
Was a world apart
Only to capture my gaze
Blaze, with stars
Making the sky an art.
